Education Content Officer
Education Content Officer: Fixed term contract until 31st December 2026 (with the possibility of an extension to one year).
Hours: Part time, 22.5 hours per week
Location: Hybrid or remote
Salary: c. £40,000 pro rata (£24,000 per annum), dependent on experience
Start date: Immediate (2026)

The role:
The BSAVA has an exciting opportunity for a qualified veterinary professional to join our Continuing Education team as an Education Content Officer. This role is critical to maintaining BSAVA’s reputation for delivering high quality, evidence based veterinary education.
You will ensure the accuracy, relevance, and clinical rigour of educational content across a variety of formats, including courses, webinars, and examinations. Working closely with subject matter experts and internal teams, you will review, validate, and enhance veterinary content in line with current clinical guidelines and best practice.
You will also identify emerging clinical topics and trends to ensure BSAVA’s educational portfolio remains current, relevant, and forward looking.
Skills and experience:
The successful candidate will bring:
- A degree in Veterinary Medicine
- A minimum of two years’ experience in small animal clinical practice
- Experience reviewing, editing, or contributing to scientific or clinical content
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and AI tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail with strong critical appraisal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
Desirable (but not essential):
- Postgraduate clinical qualification
- Experience in veterinary CPD delivery or curriculum development
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes
- Experience using veterinary knowledge databases (e.g. RCVS Knowledge)
