With a growing range of clinical and professional development topics, LUMOS gives you the flexibility to focus on the learning that matters most to you.
Start with a single module or build a longer-term programme of learning around your interests and professional goals, with new modules added regularly. Available for both BSAVA members and non-members.
For vets. For veterinary nurses. For every stage of your career.
BSAVA LUMOS recognises your commitment to professional development.
Every completed clinical module earns points that are automatically added to your account upon completion. Clinical modules are worth between 5 and 15 points, helping you build towards:
- Bronze Award | 20 points and 1 Core Skills module
- Silver Award | 60 points and 2 Core Skills modules
- Gold Award | 120 points and 3 Core Skills modules
Along the way, you’ll also earn digital badges and certificates that recognise your achievements and progress.
Veterinary life rarely follows a schedule, which is why LUMOS is designed to fit around yours:
- Study from home, practice or on the move
- Pause and return whenever you need to
- A growing range of clinical and professional development topics
Whether you’re fitting learning around consultations, surgery, family life or shift patterns, LUMOS moves at your pace.
Most LUMOS modules are designed to provide approximately 6 to 7 hours of CPD, with up to six months access to complete the learning at a pace that suits you.
