Turn training into a holiday and enjoy CPD by the Sea at Vets Cymru 22!
8 June 2022
Aberystwyth, affectionately known as Aber, is a town with broader horizons than its rural coastline setting and relaxed lifestyle might suggest. As a university town, it is a melting pot of cultures and ideas, and this June, veterinary professionals from Wales and beyond can take the opportunity to combine learning with a well-deserved mini-break as Vets Cymru returns to Aberystwyth University on 17 and 18 June 2022.
The event combines academic and educational lectures with practical sessions, where delegates can amass up to 16 hours of world-class CPD over the two days. Whether you are a student vet, vet nurse, newly qualified, or a highly experienced vet, there is something for everyone!
The subject matter covers a range of disciplines and topics – from holistic rabbit anaesthesia to oxygen uptake in racehorses, from prescribing to endoscopy, from wound management protocols to the role of veterinary professionals in sustainability, and much more besides! The plenary session (Resistance – a SEA Change in our Thinking) will bring the veterinary and the medical community together to consider antimicrobial resistance.
The BSAVA and their partners at the WVSC and the University of Aberystwyth have worked hard to deliver this world-class CPD programme, but once the hard work is over, there are many great ways to unwind and relax. From stunning scenery and history to some of the best sights and vibrant food venues in West Wales, there is no excuse not to turn your weekend of education into a fantastic Welsh getaway!
Although Vets Cymru is aimed at vets or veterinary nurses working in Wales, vet professionals from all regions are welcome. Registration is still open, so isn’t it time to come and participate in some CPD by the sea and enjoy all that Aberystwyth can offer!
