Scottish Congress visits Glasgow

19 February 2016

BSAVA Scottish Congress takes place in the SECC, Glasgow from 3-4 September this year. Set on the banks of the River Clyde, the world-class exhibition and conference facility will host 2 days of inspiring CPD from international speakers, and an exhibition of over 40 leading companies.

Lectures for 2016 will focus on a range of popular topics that includes reproduction, behaviour, exotics, internal medicine, pain management, and anaesthesia. There are dedicated vet and VN streams, along with an additional stream open to all delegates. Plus, after the success of last year, BEVA will also deliver an equine stream on Saturday offering delegates even more CPD variety.

BSAVA’s Scottish weekend is known as the ‘friendly Congress’, where memorable social activities bring delegates together after a full day of learning. The legendary Gala Dinner and Ceilidh will take place on Saturday night in the stylish Crowne Plaza hotel.

BSAVA President Tricia Colville said “I’m delighted that Scottish Congress is visiting Glasgow. We have enjoyed being in Edinburgh for six years now and felt the change in venue will attract local delegates and encourage vets and veterinary nurses from different regions to explore a new area of the UK.”

As Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow is renowned for its culture, style and the friendliness of its people, and offers a blend of internationally-acclaimed museums and galleries, stunning architecture, vibrant nightlife, fantastic shopping and a diverse array of restaurants and bars.

Look out for the full programme which will be available in March on www.bsavacongress.com and at BSAVA Congress, with registration opening in May 2016.
