Infection control webinar from The Bella Moss Foundation
29 July 2016
Infection control charity teams up with BSAVA and Ceva Animal Health to offer FREE lunchtime webinar on infection control. Revise your knowledge and keep up with the new Practice Standards Scheme.
Infection control charity The Bella Moss Foundation (BMF) has joined forces with BSAVA to host a free webinar on infection control, sponsored by Ceva Animal Health. The hour-long CPD session, entitled “Is your practice up to standard with infection control?”, will take place at 1pm on August 9.
Encouraging all practice staff to register, Ms Mosedale was keen to stress that infection control should not be taken for granted, especially as the topic is now crucial to various new awards areas of the PSS.
“The importance of infection control is emphasised in the new PSS awards – there is a specific infection control module to be met in three of them: the team and professional responsibility award, the patient consultation service award and the inpatient service award.
“To be outstanding in any of these a practice has to be outstanding in infection control.”
BMF founder Jill Moss said: “We’re really excited to be able to work with Pam, BSAVA and the Ceva team to run this special afternoon webinar.
“Like Pam, BMF knows how crucial infection control is, as well as how it can sometimes be taken for granted, meaning protocols are not always in place, or staff don’t think it’s an area they might need an update in.
“But practice-acquired infections are real, BMF deals with them every day, so we would really like to urge everyone to get involved with the webinar – it’s free and easy to access over lunch, so definitely worth doing to ensure your practice is up-to-date and resilient!”
Andy Forsyth, senior technical vet advisor at Ceva Animal Health, added: “Ceva is pleased to support BMF with this initiative.
“Hygiene and infection control measures have become increasingly important in the fight against AMR. In conjunction with the GRAM project and the extensive work on this subject with the foundation, we welcome this CPD as an opportunity for veterinary professionals to engage in this critically important topic.”
