BSAVA invests in future of profession with more student bursaries

28 November 2018

The highly popular Bursary now offers 60 places to UK and Ireland BSAVA student members in their final or penultimate year of study, giving free registration for Congress and a host of other benefits including an accommodation allowance.

BSAVA student membership is free and the Bursary application deadline is 14 December, via: www.bsavacongress.com/BSAVACongress2019/en/page/student-bursary

The four-day Congress is the largest event in Europe dedicated to the provision of small animal veterinary CPD, with a programme of lectures and interactive cases designed specifically to fulfil the requirements of students, networking opportunities, and access to the rest of the Congress programme. It is still the only event that gives vets and nurses all their CPD hours in one place, combined with a global exhibition in Arena Birmingham and a full social programme.

BSAVA President Phil Lhermette said: “Our increased investment in the future of the profession provides a unique opportunity for veterinary students to experience a world-leading Congress free of charge.

“In particular, this year’s student stream aims to develop workplace skills, providing graduates-to-be with a mix of career advice and practical top tips, all presented by world-leading experts and experienced general practitioners. Sessions are delivered in a relaxed environment allowing participants to interact with both presenters and their peers.”

Applications will be entered into a draw after 14 December and successful students will be notified by the end of January 2019.

Each applicant must be a BSAVA Student member in the UK or Ireland before they submit their Student Bursary Application. It’s free and easy to join BSAVA as a student member here
