The Centre for Evidence-based Veterinary Medicine at Nottingham has created a programme to help the profession understand how EVM can be achieved in practice, and there is a bursary available which covers the full cost of registration.
The programme will be delivered through real-time online tutorials, facilitated distance learning, and in-person workshops at Nottingham Vet School, with guidance, resources and support provided throughout.
The three components of the course (to be completed over 3 – 4 months) are:
1. What is evidence-based veterinary medicine and why is it important?
2. How do I find and appraise the evidence?
3. How do I apply the evidence-based veterinary medicine approach to my practice?
Enrolment date 1: 27 June 2016
Enrolment date 2: 1 November 2016
Enrolment date 3: 2 January 2017
The 35 hours of CPD costs £995.00, though the CEVM bursary for this course covers the full registration costs for an individual veterinary surgeon to join either of the first two course start dates. If you are interested in applying for this bursary or require more information visit their website here.
