Vets Cymru 2021

Vets Cymru is going virtual for 2021!

We decided we couldn’t let a whole year go by without Vets Cymru. Although we won’t be able to meet in person, we’re excited to be bringing you some great new webinars.

All of these exclusive new webinars are offered free to BSAVA members, and small animal lectures are offered at an amazing rate of only £10 for non-members (the large animal lectures are free to all). So, if you’re looking for some excellent CPD from some renowned speakers – or just after your Vets Cymru fix - make sure to sign up with the links below.

1st June: Test your dermatology knowledge about pruritic skin disease in the dog, cat, and horse

Come along and test your dermatology knowledge in this first of four sessions with bys cyflymaf yn gyntaf (fastest finger first) about pruritic skin disease in the dog, cat, and horse with Sue Paterson Veterinary Dermatologist.

Pruritic skin disease is one of the most common presenting signs of skin disease in all species. This dermatology quiz will get you thinking about presenting signs, differential diagnoses and treatments across three species. In between the three dermatology rounds will be some light relief to test your welsh knowledge.

16th June: Be an Infection Control Champion - The Veterinary Nurses role in infection control and prevention

Infection prevention and control strategies are designed to protect patients, veterinary staff, owners and the wider community. The whole veterinary team must play an active role in protecting the veterinary setting from the risk associated with poor infection control; however, there needs to be someone within the team that provides the driving force to strive for gold standard practices. In this third of a four lecture series, Emma Gerrard will explore the aspects of infection control and provide a summary of the implementations required to become the infection control champion in practice.
