University of Nottingham - evidence based medicine course

CPD Opportunity: Using an evidence-based approach in your practice

The University of Nottingham are running an evidence based medicine course, intended for vets in practice. 

Make the most of this fantastic opportunity to understand what evidence-based veterinary medicine is, how you can achieve it practically, and apply it across all aspects of your work. This training has 3 distinct components and will be delivered through a flexible mixture of real-time online tutorials, facilitated distance learning and in person workshops with excellent guidance, resources and support provided throughout.  You also get free online access to the library at Nottingham for the duration of the course.

The three components of the course (to be completed over 3 – 4 months) are: 

  • What is evidence-based veterinary medicine and why is it important?
  • How do I find and appraise the evidence?
  • How do I successfully apply the evidence-based veterinary medicine approach to my practice?

Enrolment date:  Monday 24th February 2020 - Monday 22nd June 2020

Course fee:

£699.00 for veterinary surgeons and £399.00 for vet nurses

RCVS Mind Matters Initiative - Vet Wellbeing in Practice

Led by Emma Mamo, Head of Workplace Wellbeing at the mental health charity Mind, Tracey Morley Jewkes from Willows Veterinary Care, and Sean Gilgallon from Citation Professional Solutions. Join one of the four events across the country:

World Veterinary Association Congress 2020

In April 2020, Auckland is home to the 36th World Veterinary Association Congress.  The event is being hosted in conjunction with the highly successful New Zealand Annual Conference and will have 13 streams including three companion animal streams.
