In addition, there will be a talk about the charity’s new CatCare for Life scheme delivered by ISFM’s Veterinary Director Dr Andy Sparkes and an hour-long talk providing nurses with the practical advice they need to implement change in their clinic.
The conference is being held at the lovely Crowne Plaza Hotel, in Stratford-upon-Avon in the West Midlands. Situated near the heart of the town, and less than a 20-minute walk from the station, the spacious venue also offers on-site parking. The day costs £95.00 and includes lunch and all coffee breaks, downloadable proceedings and CPD certificate and use of an event app to communicate with fellow delegates and submit questions to the speakers and ISFM organisers.
This new event from ISFM, shows a further commitment by the charity to invest in veterinary nurses. ISFM already provides veterinary nurses with free membership which includes its monthly journal Feline Focus, monthly webinars and newsletters. It also runs distance education courses specifically aimed at nurses and holds an annual feline symposium for veterinary nurses at BSAVA. Claire Bessant, International Cat Care’s Chief Executive says: “We recognise that nurses can make a huge difference to the treatment of cats in practice, supporting our aims to ensure that all cats, owned and unowned are treated with care, compassion and understanding. This conference is another way in which we hope to arm nurses with the information they need."
