Welcome to BSAVA East Midlands region. We've got some fantastic CPD lined up for this year throughout Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland.

Chair - Anneli Beese

Anneli graduated from Liverpool in 1996 and spent 2 years in mixed practice in West Wales before opting to return to her East Midlands roots for small animal work. Anneli has been working in Lincoln for the past ten years and her interests include skiing, walking, swimming and rehab/acupuncture!  She is married with 2 children and has recently been spending a lot of time integrating the newest member of the family - a royal Python called Ronnie!


Secretary -  Peter Graham

Peter graduated from the University of Glasgow Vet School in 1989, where he remained as Small Animal House Physician and Research Scholar until 1995. During this period he was awarded the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Radiology and a PhD on the Epidemiology and Management of Canine Diabetes Mellitus.

Between 1995 and 2002, Peter was Assistant Professor at the world's largest specialist veterinary endocrinology laboratory in Michigan State University, USA, leading it as Section Chief from 2000. He was awarded Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathologists in 2002. At the end of 2002, he was appointed Managing Director of NationWide Laboratories and Cambridge Specialist Laboratory Services.

In July 2014, he joined the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science at Nottingham University as a Clinical Associate Professor. Prior to joining the East Midlands Regions committee, he served for a short while as Secretary of North West Region. He is an Associate Editor of JSAP.
