The award gives delegates an introduction to companion animal behaviour and will cover behaviour concepts and requirements of cats, dogs and a variety of exotic
species. By the end of the course, you will be able to recognise the common abnormal behaviours in pets and will learn how to address them, resulting in improved patient outcome and effecting positive changes to human–animal interactions.

Nurses role in behaviour
Developmental periods and life stages for cats, dogs and exotic pets
Common problems in common species
Identifying problems
Problem prevention
Training and behaviour mods methods
Helping owners and communicating with other professionals
The programme consists of
¦ 12 online sections containing recorded webinar material, supporting notes and online tasks
¦ A new section released every two–three weeks to keep your learning moving forward but allowing flexibility in your learning.
¦ Online support with your tutors and colleagues through a variety of online discussion forums
¦ 50 hours CPD.

To qualify for an applicable refund, cancellations must emailed to administration@bsava.com or requested by telephone on 01452 726700. With over 30 days’ notice we will refund 70% of the course fee. With between 15-30 days’ notice we will refund 50% of the course fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellations with notice of 14 days or less, however if we are able to resell your place on the course we will provide a full refund.
BSAVA reserves the right to alter the programme or the speaker should this become necessary due to unavoidable circumstances. BSAVA reserves the right to cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances. Registrants should note that the BSAVA member's rate applies only when the person attending the course is a member of the Association. To qualify for the reduced member's rate for courses, non-members must join BSAVA prior to the course.
