Regions Now: Approach to lameness
Online , Online , Gloucester Gloucestershire, GL2 2AB
brought to you by East Anglia region
In this instalment of the Regions Now lectures, Martin Owen
will review a systematic approach to examining and investigating lame animals with a focus on the techniques used to identify the source (or “localisation”) of lameness and some of the common imaging findings associated with frequently encountered causes of lameness.
Before the live event
Delegates will be issued with a link to a closed group on the BSAVA Regional website, with access granted to a series of short webinars and associated reading. Access to this will be from 14th September.
The live session will take place on 21st September. Join us in the waiting room at 7.30pm, for a prompt 7.45pm start. This session will last 1.5 hours with opportunities for questions and discussion with the speaker.
In the live event we will look at clinical cases and how to establish the cause of lameness in those cases. We will consider the findings of orthopaedic examinations, imaging investigations for cases and how to interpret these. We will consider when to perform additional tests and which tests to perform and how determine the significance of the findings of lameness investigations.
After the event
Delegates will have access to the online content and discussion forum, and there will be opportunity for community peer to peer, and volunteer discussion, which is an important part of our Regional CPD.
