Radiology of the Thorax

This online course is intended for veterinary surgeons working in clinical practice who would like to develop confidence in the interpretation of thoracic radiographs. Examples of X-rays from clinical cases will be used throughout to ensure the course is relevant to a first opinion clinical caseload.
Online activities will be used to support your learning and questions will be encouraged, with discussions aiming to be friendly and constructive. We also provide additional resources to complement the course. The BSAVA bonus bits will include some congress podcast recordings and companion articles as well as a free chapter from the BSAVA Manual of canine and feline thoracic imaging.
The first weekly unit will be released on the first Friday of the month
with the next weekly units being released on the following two Fridays.
full course content will be available on the third Friday of the month
and will stay available for a further 5 weeks although the Discussion
forum will only be available for the initial three weeks of the course.
You can complete the work how and when you choose within these 8 weeks.
- Respiratory system (thoracic)

Frances graduated from Cambridge in 1979, and worked for the first five years after graduation in a large mixed practice in Kent. She gained her RCVS certificate in Veterinary Radiology during this time. In 1984 she moved to the University of Bristol to focus on Diagnostic Imaging. She gained her RCVS Diploma in Veterinary Radiology in 1985 and became a foundation Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging in 1994. She spent much of her professional career teaching undergraduate and postgraduate vets and vet nurses while she worked as a clinician in Diagnostic Imaging.
Since 2010 Frances has worked for BSAVA to develop postgraduate education for vets working in first opinion practice.

To qualify for an applicable refund, cancellations must emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or requested by telephone on 01452 726700. With over 30 days’ notice we will refund 70% of the course fee. With between 15-30 days’ notice we will refund 50% of the course fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellations with notice of 14 days or less, however if we are able to resell your place on the course we will provide a full refund.
BSAVA reserves the right to alter the programme or the speaker should this become necessary due to unavoidable circumstances. BSAVA reserves the right to cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances. Registrants should note that the BSAVA member's rate applies only when the person attending the course is a member of the Association. To qualify for the reduced member's rate for courses, non-members must join BSAVA prior to the course.
