Confusing Canines - A case based approach to common clinical conundrums
Engine Rooms, 183 Eversholt Street, London , NW1 1BU
This small group day meeting (maximum 10 delegates) will be of interest to veterinary surgeons looking to develop their approach to the diagnosis and management of small animal medical cases. During this 'Day with the Specialist', real-life clinical cases encountered in primary care practice, including a wide range of disorders such as those of the gastrointestinal, endocrine, urinary and immune systems, will be discussed. You will learn how to identify salient problems, formulate differential diagnoses lists and diagnostic plans, interpret the results of diagnostic tests such as blood and imaging studies and understand the latest treatment options. We will use anonymous voting software to facilitate group participation during the discussion sessions. Background theoretical knowledge and helpful practical tips on performing diagnostic techniques will also be interspersed amongst cases.
The current recommended management of these conditions will be discussed, drawing from experience of the clinical speaker and the veterinary literature.
