The theme of the Petsavers 2008 Photography Competition, which was in association with BSAVA Congress and sponsored by Hills Pet Nutrition, was ‘Pets at Play'.

The theme for the 2008 photography competition was founded upon obesity in pets. We are all aware of obesity in pets; our nation’s pets are some of the unhealthiest in Europe due to over-feeding and under-exercising. The issue of obesity has been all over the news and no doubt you will have heard this being mentioned in your local practice. Petsavers wanted to introduce a theme that promoted how much our pets mean to us and what we can do to help them. Playing with our pets is always fun and is highly recommended by vets as a simple yet effective way to keep them trim!
