The 2010 London 10K Run
On 11th July, the world cup final was not the only sporting event to take place, over 25,000 runners gathered in London to take part in British 10K London Run. The race was won by Ruben Lindogo, who finished with an incredible time of 29.32 minutes. The first female across the line was Getenesh Tamirat with a time of 35.20 minutes. The Petsavers team had a great day out and despite the hot weather everyone managed to complete the race, rasing lots of money for Petsavers in the process. The race passed many of London’s famous landmarks. Starting at Hyde Park corner the route took runners past some of the city’s most famous sites including St James’s Palace, Westminster Abbey, The Houses of Parliament and Trafalgar Square; it certainly provided some awe inspiring views of the capital - including some across the Embankment to the London Eye. So, for those taking the race at a more leisurely pace there was plenty to see on the way around.
Thank you to everyone that showed their support to the team and sponsored the runners (it's not to late to sponsor in retrospect, just go to www.justgiving.com/petsavers).

A special thanks must go to the runners from 2010:
