BSAVA Membership runs from January to December and the subscription is payable in full on 1st January every year. The only exception to this is e-student membership, which runs from 1st September to 31st August each year until the final year of studies, when it will continue to 31st December.
E-Student Membership - Free
Students receive free BSAVA membership for the duration of their undergraduate life. E-student membership runs from 1st September to 31st August each year until the final year of studies, when it will continue to 31st December.
Anyone studying for a primary veterinary degree in the UK or Eire as undergraduate veterinary students is eligible. Overseas students are not entitled to free student membership.

Your free e-student membership continues upon graduation until December 31st of your final year. This means you receive around three months of free membership after graduation. Applies for one year following graduation of a primary veterinary degree entitling you to membership of the RCVS.

Second Year Qualified Membership - £97 – A new form of incremental graduate membership
Applies for one year following first year qualified membership. To be eligible for this category of membership you must be in your second year since graduating from a primary veterinary degree entitling membership of the RCVS.

Undergraduates studying for a primary veterinary degree can become a BSAVA overseas student member. You will need to provide evidence of an annual certificate signed by your supervisor to qualify for this membership category.
