Grants & Awards

Every year we present awards in recognition of the contributions made by individuals working or studying in the field of small animal medicine and surgery.

The CRA Award offers two awards for best abstract presented by a resident or a student in the general areas of medicine or surgery.

The Frank Beattie Award is a scholarship, worth £2000, to help a member of the BSAVA to undertake a trip abroad to study a particular aspect of veterinary practice.

In most cases, nominations come from Members of the Association, and are considered in December by the Awards Committee

The President’s Welcome and Awards took place on
Thursday 2 April 2009 and was sponsored by Intervet/Schering Plough

The then President, Ed Hall, welcomed delegates and conducted the presentation of the esteemed BSAVA Award for 2009, including the prizes for the Petsavers photographic competition.
