The 2009 award, which took the form of a cheque, went to Adrian Boswood. After graduating from Cambridge, Adrian spent a year in mixed practice. He has worked in the Department of Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the Royal Veterinary College since joining as an Intern in 1990. Adrian obtained the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Cardiology in 1993 and the Diploma in Veterinary Cardiology in 1996. He was appointed a Lecturer in Internal Medicine in 1996 and is now Senior Lecturer in Internal Medicine/Cardiology. Adrian is a recognised RCVS Specialist in Veterinary Cardiology and European Specialist in Veterinary Internal Medicine (cardiology).
