How to register

Delegates can register using the downloadable Registration Form, online via www.bsava.com (making the most of the further 5% discount) or at Congress itself. There is a price reduction for delegates registering before 10 February, while Practice Badge Registrations are available only until 16 March.

Registration forms received after Wednesday 31 March for UK delegates (and after Monday 11 March for international delegates) will be processed; your registration documents, delegate badges and tickets will await collection from the Registration Desk at Congress.

The Congress Office at BSAVA Woodrow House will close on Thursday 1 April and will reopen at 14.00 on Wednesday 7 April at the National Indoor Arena (NIA) in Birmingham, UK.

Congress online registration

Congress registrations made online receive a 5% discount (inc. VAT) and are available from Tuesday 1 December 2009.

The 5% discount represents an example saving of £19.30 based on a BSAVA Member Whole Congress registration when made before the 10 February 2010.

Registration at Congress

Delegates can register throughout Congress at the Registration Desk, which is situated in the Olympian Suite in the NIA. Note that the peak time for registration is Thursday morning and time should be allowed for the registration process. Registration at Congress will incur a surcharge.

Pre-registered delegates

Delegates who have registered in advance and received their registration documents and delegate badges do NOT need to queue for registration on arrival at Congress: they should proceed directly to the point marked “CONGRESS BAG COLLECTION”.

Delegates who have registered in advance but have not yet received their registration documents should go to the window marked “DOCUMENT COLLECTION/ENQUIRIES” within the Olympian Suite on arrival.

 Registration area

Non-members

Non-members are welcome at Congress. They should note, however, that it is cheaper to join the BSAVA and pay the member’s Congress registration rate than pay the non-member’s rate. Membership details are available online and a membership form can also be found in the Registration Form.

Masterclass and social programme tickets

Tickets may be bought when registering in advance but may also be obtained at the Registration Desk during Congress, subject to availability.

Payment

Payment may be made in British currency or Euro, by a personal cheque drawn on a British bank, or by Visa/Mastercard, or Delta/Maestro. For more information on making payment in Euro please contact administration@bsava.com.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation of a booking must be received in writing. Cancellation will incur a charge of:

  • 20% before 5 March 2010
  • 50% between 5 March and 19 March 2010
  • 100% thereafter

Congress bag

The Congress bag, sponsored by Royal Canin, will contain planners for the Scientific Programme and the Exhibition. A printed copy of the 2010 Congress Proceedings may be obtained from the bag collection desk.

Delegate badges

Delegates must wear their identification badges in a clearly visible position at all times. Your badge will be scanned prior to entering lectures and the Exhibition. The security stewards are instructed to refuse admission to anyone not displaying an appropriate badge. Delegate badges are for the use of the named delegate only. The use of another delegate’s badge is a fraudulent act.

Congress officials

Members of Congress Committee will be wearing a large RED badge. The Congress Stewards will wear a BSAVA polo shirt. The ICC and NIA stewards will be wearing blue blazers. Please ask them for any assistance that you may need.
