The Scotch Malt Whisky Society is a specialist in unique and rare single cask single malt cask strength whiskies from Scotland and beyond.

Try from a selection of three untainted drams specially chosen by a Society Ambassador to indulge and stimulate your senses. Engage your olfactory and excite taste buds with flavours ranging from strawberries, pineapple, cut grass, oranges, lemons, vanilla, caramel, nuttiness and spiced wood all the way to coal tar soap, ash, old walking boots on a rainy day, peat, BBQ shrimps, old man’s pipe smoke, farm yards and more...
Join us off the beaten track, starting with something rare, but light. Then building up to the sherry aged dram and finishing on historically the traditional style of Scotch, something peated and smoky.

Delegates at Congress can taste a selection of three untainted whiskies chosen by a Society Ambassador to indulge and stimulate your senses. The whisky tasting booth will be located upstairs in the NIA on the concourse area – along with the ice-cream booth. To sample three superb malts you can buy a £2 ticket – and all proceeds will be donated by BSAVA to Petsavers.
