BVOA Spring meeting - 7 April 2010 - 01 February 2010

“Joint disease; the present and the future”

Topics to be covered in the morning’s lectures and discussion will include the genetics of small animal orthopaedic disease, stem cell therapy for canine joint disease, a review of inflammatory joint disease and a review of synovial fluid cytology. We’ll also cover limb sparing surgery in small animals, limb sparing surgery in people as well as current developments in stem cell therapy for the treatment of joint disease in humans.

SAMSoc - Lecture for Meeting 7th April 2010 - 01 February 2010

Current members include specialist internists and general practitioners from the UK and abroad who share a passion and enthusiasm for small animal medicine. The society hosts an annual meeting every year. An internet based discussion forum and is also available to all members. The way members use of the forum is varied. This can include obtaining different perspectives on the management of a case or posting new information that may be of interest to others

The 15th FECAVA Congress 2009 will be held in Lille between the 27th and 29th November 2009. The event is organized by AFVAC (France), SAVAB (Belgium) and LAK (Luxembourg). FECAVA Congress is designed primarily for general practitioners and final-year veterinary students, the event will cover the two major themes of Feline Medicine and Exotic Pets. Lectures will be delivered predominantly in English and French, but some will also be delivered in German, Italian or Spanish.
