The BSAVA Postgraduate Certificates are aimed primarily at veterinary surgeons working in small animal practice who have a particular interest in small animal medicine or surgery. The aim is to provide participants with the knowledge and expertise they need to deal with the medical or surgical situations they encounter regularly. Furthermore, participants will enhance their understanding of more complex techniques and new advances so that they are able to discuss treatment options and potential outcomes fully with clients, and to refer appropriately.
Successful completion of the whole programme will lead to the award of the BSAVA Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Medicine (BSAVA PGCertSAM) or the BSAVA Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery (BSAVA PGCertSAS), and will be validated by Nottingham Trent University.
