Registered Veterinary Nurses’ confidence and level of training when dealing with central lines in dogs and cats in referral centres and first opinion practices in the UK
Researchers are looking for Registered Veterinary Nurses to complete a brief survey to contribute to a research study investigating opinions on managing central lines in dogs and cats. The study aims to understand how well RVNs feel they are trained in this and how confident they are in the process of handling patients with central lines at the placement and during hospitalisation (administering medication or its maintenance). The researchers believe this study will provide useful data to guide future prospective evaluation of standardised protocols and to determine educational strategies for training nursing students and nurses in practice in central line placement and maintenance.
