BVZS Conference Returns in November

25 September 2022

BVZS is the specialist subdivision of BVA representing a wide variety of vets and nurses in the UK who work in exotic animal practice, with wildlife, within zoological collections, conservation, animal welfare, research and pathology.

The BVZS conference is the largest gathering of exotic pet, wildlife and zoo vets in the UK and will be happening in-person for the first time since the pandemic. In the face of the cost-of-living crisis and the problems facing the profession, BVZS has made the bold move of subsidising conference costs from its own funds, in order to keep to 2019 prices. The society believes that this is important enough that it is prepared to make a loss on the event in order to provide a real service not just to their members, but also to the whole zoological veterinary community.

The conference would be of interest for anyone seeing exotics in practice as well as those who may work with wild and zoo species. There will be separate streams on nursing, exotic pets, wildlife and zoo species as well as a student and new graduate stream stream. In addition there will be a full social programme.

Early bird discounts are currently available until 31st August. Find out more about the event on the BVZS website.
