BSAVA response to the outcome of the EU referendum

24 June 2016

The British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) recognises that the result of the EU referendum could have a wide reaching impact on the veterinary profession and aspects of pet ownership.

Until there is some clarity resulting from the United Kingdom’s exit negotiations, we will be in a period of uncertainty in relation to the laws and rules governing employment, education, research and animal disease control. For the time being however all current regulations still apply.

BSAVA is identifying both the immediate and long term impact on our members and will work with our partners, both in the UK and internationally, to ensure that the veterinary profession is well-represented and that animal welfare is prioritised.
