2016 Vet Nurse Merit Awards launched

The topics for the 2016 Vet Nurse Merit Awards have just been announced as wildlife nursing, dermatology nursing and surgical nursing.
Each award is worth 30 hours of CPD and has a varied structure of both online activity and attendance courses.
Starting in June, the wildlife award consists of 10 webinars, a practical course in Somerset in August, followed by an online assessment and case study in November. The award covers the care of a wide variety of UK wild animals with topics including capture and release techniques, triage and anaesthesia.
The dermatology award starts in October and consists of two webinars, two consecutive lecture days in October in Gloucester and a practical day course in November in Bristol. Topics include allergies, ectoparasites and otitis externa.
The surgical nursing award will start in the autumn and further details will be advertised soon.
Webinars will take place at various times of the day however all will be available online for delegates to listen to in their own time.
The Vet Nurse Merit Awards count as 30 hours of CPD and cost £510 for BSAVA members. The non-member price is &£763.
