This one day course, part of the developing confidence in... series, is aimed at vets working in first opinion practice. Lectures will cover the natural history of feline cardiomyopathy, a practical approach to cats with dyspnoea, identifying and treating heart failure, and how best to deal with arterial thromboembolism.
• Confidently identify cats at risk of heart failure or arterial thromboembolism
• Decide when to treat cats with cardiomyopathy, and which drugs to select for particular cases
• Assess cats with respiratory distress in a logical manner, and feel comfortable in identifying cats with congestive heart failure signs
Keiran Borgeat BVSc CertVC DipECVIM-CA MRCVS
Kieran is clinical lead in Cardiology at Langford Vets, University of Bristol. He has a particular interest in feline heart disease, in particular hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Alongside the Feline centre at Bristol and his team of two other Cardiology Diplomates, Kieran is undertaking prospective longitudinal research with the hope of better understanding genetics and progression of heart disease in cats.

To qualify for an applicable refund, cancellations must emailed to email@example.com or requested by telephone on 01452 726700. With over 30 days’ notice we will refund 70% of the course fee. With between 15-30 days’ notice we will refund 50% of the course fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellations with notice of 14 days or less, however if we are able to resell your place on the course we will provide a full refund.
BSAVA reserves the right to alter the programme or the speaker should this become necessary due to unavoidable circumstances. BSAVA reserves the right to cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances. Registrants should note that the BSAVA member's rate applies only when the person attending the course is a member of the Association. To qualify for the reduced member's rate for courses, non-members must join BSAVA prior to the course.
