Ear Disease: Medical and surgical management - Scottish region ARM
Edinburgh Vet School, The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, Easter Bush Campus Edinburgh Midlothian, EH25 9RG
The course will discuss the most common ear conditions seen in dogs and cats, and will discuss the intricacies of diagnosis and treatment. We will focus on appropriate medical management where possible but discuss surgical treatment (including laser surgery) when relevant or as a salvage option. We’ll briefly discuss otitis in lop-eared rabbits, which is an increasingly common problem.
The course will be lecture based but will be practically focused to ensure delegates feel comfortable with the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures discussed. An interactive discussion of appropriate antibacterial therapy, emphasizing antimicrobial stewardship, will also be included.
