Triage of Emergencies
Blackwell Grange Hotel, Grange Road, Darlington Durham, DL3 8QH
Emergencies are part and parcel of veterinary life, and not just for those working out-of-hours. Although inherently stressful to deal with, developing an ability to prioritise quickly and pragmatically helps optimise case outcome.
Although we often think Emergency = Trauma, emergency presentations can also be a result of a medical or surgical condition. This course will cover triage and approach to managing a broad range of emergency presentations.
Topics will cover respiratory emergencies, current thinking on CPR, the patient with uroabdomen, and traumatic wounds. Relevant case examples will be used throughout to help place the discussions in a clinical context.
This course is kindly sponsored by Jurox and Henry Schein
