The Association is a professional body which was founded to serve veterinary surgeons who treat companion animals and now has over 5,500 members. The majority of our members work in practice, and represent over a third of the working veterinary surgeons in the UK. We also have a growing number of worldwide professionals, predominantly throughout Europe, but also in the Americas and Australasia.
The BSAVA strives to represent member interests internationally through various European and world small animal organisations. Membership runs from January to December and the subscription is payable in full on 1st January every year.
The only exception is Student e-Members whose membership runs runs from 1 September until 31 August each year of your study, until the final year when membership continues until 31 December.
Current members will be sent their renewal notices automatically and should return their subscription by 31st January of the following year.
