Over the past few years the BSAVA website has lifted the profile of the Association within the public domain. The views of the BSAVA are increasingly sought on subjects relating to companion animals. The enquiries come in by phone, letter, fax and now most commonly, by email. Many can be dealt with by Woodrow House but the more technical or delicate matters require input from the PRO. The Association tries to ensure that no query goes unanswered, even if practical help cannot be offered. The PRO acts as a conduit for information in association with the Officers and members of Advisory and Management Committee.

Regions Co-ordinator

The Regions Co-ordinator acts as a liaison between the Officers of the Association and the Regional Officers. The main role is to organise the Regional Officers’ meetings at which the opinion of the members, through the Regional Officers, can be aired in an informal forum, prior to Council. Any matter of concern origination from the Regional Officers can be taken by the Regions Co-ordinator to Advisory and Management Committee for further discussion. By visiting the regions in person, the Regions Co-ordinator can also assist with the recruitment of volunteers for other BSAVA committees, and maintains contact with members.
