BSAVA Webinars

BSAVA webinars offer you the opportunity to listen to clinically relevant talks in the comfort of your own home, or at work with colleagues. If you can’t ‘attend’ the webinar live, then you will be able to view the recorded version later, at a time convenient to you. Webinars fit very well into busy lifestyles, and are a cost effective and flexible way of topping up your CPD.

Learn@Lunch webinars:
Regular monthly lunchtime (1-2pm) webinars, beginning in May 2012. The topics will be clinically relevant, and particularly aimed at vets and nurses in first opinion practice. There will be separate webinar programmes for vets and for nurses – these will be FREE to BSAVA members, but you will need to book a place through this website in order to attend.

Linked webinars:
Each evening (8-9pm) webinar will be linked to a BSAVA day course, taking place a week or two later. Linked webinars are FREE to those who have attended the course; all delegates will be sent an email with joining information. If you do not plan to attend the course but would like to attend the Linked webinar, please book through this website.

Leading edge webinars:
These evening (8-9pm) webinars are provided for the BSAVA postgraduate certificate programme, and are designed to stimulate thought while remaining clinically relevant. Leading edge webinars are FREE to those enrolled on the relevant BSAVA PGCertificate; all students will be sent an email with joining information. If you are not an enrolled student but would like to attend a leading edge webinar, please book thorough this website.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need special equipment to view and listen to a webinar?
All you need is a computer with broadband internet access. Provided your computer has speakers (can you listen to music?) you will be able to view and listen to the webinar. You don’t need to purchase any specialist software; the first time you attend a webinar, you will be prompted to download the free webinar software, which will take a few minutes

Do I need to be a computer expert?
No. Once you have booked, you will receive an email containing a link, and explaining how to join the webinar. Joining is very simple and requires no specialist knowledge or expertise.

Will I be able to ask questions?
If you attend the live webinar, you will be able to ask questions by typing these into a chat box on the webinar screen. The speaker will read out and answer as many of the questions as possible. This won’t be possible of course if you are watching the recorded version

What happens if I miss the live webinar?
All the webinars will be recorded, and the recorded version will be available for viewing within 24 hours of the live presentation. You will be able to watch the recorded webinar at a time convenient to you.

Can I get a certificate of attendance?
A link will be emailed to all attendees at the live event, providing an attendance certificate. If you only view the recorded event, you can enter this yourself onto your CPD record card
