Sharon Redrobe BSc(Hons) BVetMed DZooMed MRCVS RCVS Diplomate in Zoo and Wildlife Medicine (Mammalian) & RCVS Specialist in Zoo and Wildlife Medicine
Sharon Redrobe holds a joint appointment as clinical associate professor in zoo, wild and exotic animal medicine at the University of Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine and Science, and director of life sciences at Twycross Zoo. Sharon was previously part of the team that set up the exotic animal department at Edinburgh Veterinary School, where she worked for five years before leaving to set up the Bristol Zoo veterinary department, which she then ran for over ten years. Sharon also started the rabbit clinic at Bristol Veterinary School. She has worked exclusively with zoo and exotic species for eighteen years and has over seventy journal and book publications.
Linda Roberts DipAVN(Medical) VTS(Oncology) RVN
Linda Roberts qualified in 2002 from general practice. She then worked at the Royal Veterinary College, before moving on to the University of Edinburgh Hospital for Small Animals in 2004. There she obtained the RCVS Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing (Medical) in 2005, before becoming an oncology nurse with the cancer service in 2006. In 2009, she became a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Oncology, and a member of the Academy of Internal Medicine for Veterinary Technicians. As well as her specialist interest in oncology, Linda also has interests in analgesia, clinical nutrition, medical nursing and the maintenance of optimum quality of life in chronically ill patients.
Clare Rusbridge BVMS PhD DipECVN MRCVS
Clare Rusbridge graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1991 and then completed an internship at the University of Pennsylvania and spent some time in general practice in Cambridgeshire. After a BSAVA/Petsavers residency in neurology at the Royal Veterinary College she became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Neurology in 1996 and gained RCVS Specialist status in 1999. She was awarded a PhD from Utrecht University in February 2007 for her thesis on Chiari-like malformation and syringomyelia. Since August 1997 she has operated a neurology and neurosurgery referral service at the Stone Lion Veterinary Hospital in Wimbledon.
Kersti Seksel BVSc(Hons) MA(Hons) FACVSc DipACVB CMAVA DipECVBM-CA MRCVS Registered Veterinary Specialist, Behavioural Medicine
Kersti Seksel graduated in veterinary science from Sydney University, and then in behavioural sciences (major in psychology) from Macquarie University. Kersti is the principal of a specialist practice in behavioural medicine in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. She is president of the Australian Companion Animal Council, chair of the Companion Animal Sectoral Group of the Australian Animal Welfare Strategy and adjunct senior lecturer at Charles Sturt University. Kersti has presented at major conferences in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Europe, USA, China, South Africa and Japan. She has published many papers on animal behaviour, is a regular presenter on radio, writes for many magazines and is a consultant for the Veterinary Information Network (VIN).
Chris Shales MA VetMB CertSAS DipECVS MRCVS European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery
Chris Shales graduated from the University of Cambridge Veterinary School in 2000 and spent the next two years in mixed practice before returning to Cambridge in 2002 as a resident in small animal surgery. Chris gained the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2005 and the European College of Veterinary Surgeons Diploma in Small Animal Surgery in 2006. Following his residency, Chris spent nearly four years teaching and lecturing, initially at Cambridge and subsequently at Bristol before taking up his current position as a member of the soft tissue surgery team at Willows Referral Service in Solihull.
Marwan Tarazi BVSs MSc MRCVS
Marwan Tarazi was born in Jerusalem, Palestine. He studied veterinary medicine at Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece and also completed an MSc in aquaculture at Stirling University in Scotland. Marwan started working as a general practitioner in the UK in 2000. Having worked in a large number of practices, he decided to go solo in 2009 and opened a practice in Peterborough called NUVET. Although he has always enjoyed working in general practice, Marwan has a special interest in laparoscopy.
Ross Tiffin
Ross Tiffin launched Hill’s Pet Nutrition in the UK in 1986, becoming a European director. He has also been involved in advertising and corporate practice, and has published a book on consumer behaviour. He is on the editorial board of Veterinary Times, writes widely in UK journals, is editor of Second Opinion and speaks widely, at home and abroad, on the changing interface between veterinary practices and the consumers who choose them. Ross is a long-term supporter of FAB/ISFM and works closely with the charity. He is also a director of the RCVS Trust and of Dogs for the Disabled.

David Walker
David Walker graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in July 2003, where he subsequently completed an internship. He then spent one year in small animal practice in Hertfordshire, before returning to the RVC to undertake a three year residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine. He completed this in 2008 and became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in the same year. David remained at the RVC as a lecturer in Internal Medicine until 2009. Since this time he has worked in private referral practice and is currently head of medicine at Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists in Hampshire.

Penny Watson MA VetMD CertVR DSAM DipECVIM MRCVS
Penny Watson is a senior lecturer in small animal medicine at the University of Cambridge. She graduated from the University of Cambridge Veterinary School in 1989 and spent four years in mixed practice before returning to Cambridge. She is both an RCVS and European Diplomate in small animal medicine and has been on the examination board for both colleges. She is interested in all aspects of small animal internal medicine, particularly clinical nutrition, comparative metabolism, gastroenterology and hepatology, and obtained her doctorate on aspects of chronic pancreatitis in dogs in 2009.
Peter Watson
Peter Watson launched Vets4Pets in 2001, and ten years later Vets4Pets is arguably the fastest growing branded group in the UK, with seventy five practices operating nationwide. Vets4Pets continues to grow at a pace, with Peter still at the helm driving the business forward through its next phase of growth. A qualified electronic engineer, Peter is a highly successful entrepreneur, with over twenty two years experience working in partnership with medical professionals, experience which has proved invaluable in the successful development of Vets4Pets. Before launching Vets4Pets, Peter was managing director of Vision Express, and before that, as business development director, Peter was instrumental in the early development and growth of Specsavers.
David Yates BVSc MRCVS
David Yates graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1991. Since qualifying, he has worked for the RSPCA and is the veterinary director of the RSPCA Greater Manchester Animal Hospital. David has a particular interest in injectable anaesthesia and early neutering and especially enjoys the challenges of charity practice.
Alison Young DipAVN(Surgical) RVN
Alison Young qualified as a veterinary nurse whilst working at a small practice in Hertfordshire. She joined the Queen Mother Hospital at the Royal Veterinary College in 2001 as a general surgery nurse and worked rotating through all areas of the hospital. In 2003 she joined the theatre nursing team and studied for the RCVS Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing (Surgical), where she gained the highest marks for that year. Alison then became the senior and now head theatre nurse.
