Edinburgh Conference Centre, Heriot-Watt Campus
The Edinburgh Conference Centre (ECC) is situated in the scenic woodland grounds of Heriot-Watt University campus, Riccarton with a sunken garden, loch and parkland walkways there to be explored. The campus sits on the outskirts of Edinburgh, only 10 minutes (4.3 miles) for Edinburgh International Airport, with regular international and domestic flights, making the trip to Scottish Congress for delegates from afar extremely accessible.
At only 5.7 miles from the city centre, you might want to extend your trip to include time to sample the delights of the beautiful city of Edinburgh.
For those travelling by train the campus is 7 miles from Edinburgh Waverley Railway station and just 2 miles from Edinburgh Park Railway station and The Novotel Edinburgh Park Hotel.
Traveling by car? The ECC is just off the M8 (as you enter Edinburgh) and just off the Edinburgh City Bypass and A71 with ample free on-site parking opposite the conference centre.
The ECC boasts excellent dedicated conference facilities with lecture halls that are all easy to locate, being contained in one area, and only a minutes walk to the exhibition area. The spacious exhibition area allows for easy flow around the exhibition stands, letting you amble through the hall at your own pace and giving you the opportunity to chat with the wide range of exhibitors.
Edinburgh Corn Exchange
Situated half way between The ECC and Edinburgh city centre, this grade A listed building provides the perfect venue for the Saturday evening black tie Gala Dinner. The concourse provides the freedom to mingle during the drinks reception before entering the spacious banquet hall. The well set out dining tables, excellent food and more than ample dance floor, allowing everyone to take full advantage of the excellent ceilidh bands music, will ensure one of the best social events of the year.
